Located just outside the town of Ascoli Piceno, Velenosi embodies the personality of the Marche region of Central Italy. Beginning 30 years ago with limited resources and minimal experience, the indefatigable Angela Velenosi, through sheer determination and perseverance, pushed the boundaries of expectations of the entire region. Holding vineyards as varied as the geography in which they lie, her portfolio is a confluence of diverse terroirs, varieties and cultures, unified under the maritime climate and her will to succeed.
To walk these vineyards, one would begin at the ocean and climb high into the hills. By embracing the bounty of the Marche’s growing regions, its varieties and its people, Angela has succeeded in driving Velenosi beyond the Marche, beyond Italy and onto the world stage.
We have the honour of hosting an evening tasting their wines, paired with Italian food and stories told by Giuseppe Epifanio, Velenosi’s Export Manager and our friend Pedro Estrada Belli from Vinotria.
