On the 7th of May, Pedro will lead a tasting of rare and superlative wines from Braida. His founder, late Giacomo Bologna whose nickname was Braida, was a hero of modern Italian wine. He is credited with doing more for the Barbera grape than anyone. He is no longer with us, but his family, faithfully continues his work. Braida produces seven different Barbera wines. Unlike Sangiovese, which is grown all over Italy, Barbera is fairly specific to Piedmont: 85 per cent is grown there. Others have made a name for themselves with Barbera, between them,Vietti, which wines will be included in the tasting making of the evening an absolute NOT TO BE MISSED EVENT.
